Community
Tucked along the North Shore of Lake Windermere and watched over by the dramatic Mount Nelson, Invermere is the economic hub of the Windermere Valley, offering retail stores, services, restaurants of all variety, accommodations and more. With two beautiful beaches, the town offers some of the best access to Lake Windermere. All recreational activities one can think of in a mountain resort town are available in Invermere along with rental and specialty shops geared to the outdoor enthusiast. Twenty minutes to the south lies the full resort community of Fairmont Hot Springs boasting Hot Pools, two golf courses and a ski hill.
Radium Hot Springs just outside the boundaries of Kootenay National Park is ten minutes north of Invermere. There you will find hot pools, golfing, cross country skiing and lots of great camping and hiking trails.

Education
The Rockies require that every player of school age be enrolled at the local high school. He is expected to regularly and keep his marks up. Older players that wish to enroll in College will be encouraged to do so. Our hockey schedule is designed around school schedule’s to give our education system 1st priority.
Community Involvement
Off ice every player will be involved in some kind of community activity, i.e. helping coach minor hockey, promoting staying in school. and various team fund raising.
High School
David Thompson Senior Secondary School is a fully modern high school, which provides all essential secondary classes.
College
College of the Rockies offers post secondary university transfer programs as well as a wide variety of life enhancing courses.
