On Sunday, the Rockies hosted the Grand Forks Border Bruins and the two teams fought their way to a 4-4 tie after 70 minutes of hockey. Three full periods and two abbreviated overtime periods provided some great hockey entertainment.

The Kimberley Dynamiters hosted the Columbia Valley Rockies Saturday night and peppered goalie Cam Dagg with 56 shots as he surrendered eight goals en route to an 8-1 win for the Dynos.

The Columbia Valley Rockies had the lead through two periods of play against the Golden Rockets, but succumbed to a strong attack and fell 5-2 in Golden last night.

The Rockies power play led the charge with Kevin Dunlop scoring at 11:37 of the first period from Julian Fraser and Mike Vaughan as Columbia Valley staked out a 1-0 lead after twenty minutes.

Saturday's tilt with Kimberley promised to be more spirited given the teams played on Wednesday in Kimberley and have quite a rivalry going, but the Dynamiters power play proved to be the difference and led to a 7-1 victory.

After 17 goals were scored last night, new red lights might need to be installed at the Eddie Mountain Memorial Arena as Spokane topped the Rockies 10-7 in a highly entertaining game that featured action at both ends all night long.
